It’s true, it’s very relevant in this Corona virus setting of social distance.
I wrote this poem while remembering how impressing was the awareness of being completely alone in the silence of the night in the Death Valley. We felt as the sound of our conversation was disturbing the stillness of the desert. A true social distance in complete absence of any human sign. Just us, some wild animals, and the breeze. Above, stars and constellations in the most black sky I ever saw.
We couldn’t talk or move, just looking and listening to the surroundings, both of us lost in our own thoughts. An amazing experience! In pure awe!
