… And I am still here,
to wander through this life as before.

But I’m on the earth and you are among the stars,
while I’m looking for you with intent and disbelieving eyes.

Are you up there twinkling and flickering,
or did you fly to the furthest crease of Time?

Where will I look for you?
Will we never meet again?
Without you,
how will I go through the next fifty years and more?

Your voice still resonates loud in my mind:
just an echo of that big heart of yours
that always lovingly guided me by setting the example.
And now, how is it that it stays silent?

Where did your words go?
Do they roll in the wind or upholster the dark curtains of this universe?

Talk to me! Talk to me, one more time …
I don’t hear you, nor I see you …
Where and with whom are you, now?
Do you see me? … Do you still remember me?

I was your tiny spaceship, your satellite;
I can’t return to base anymore.
What about me, now?

You left me here, behind.
A little lost shuttle with your interrupted radio link.

A castaway in the wasteland.
