Moonless

A free verse poem

Black and heavy this
moonless night.
Thick tar weighs
on my shoulders and
my eyes
blindfolds with pitch dark;
no gleams.

But in this infinite blackness,
above,
finally,
they appear:
countless stars,
sparkling
fulgent.

They are indeed small, but myriads
and shine so much, filling up
the gaze of those who,
like me,
from black,
look for
the light.

Life always surprises me when I look for direction and measure. Writing poems and stories, Editing respectfully, and Teaching children. In the holistic sphere.
