Oh yes! … I was forgetting to tell you this one, which I find quite hilarious:

Last 10th January, I had a surgery in general anesthesia. When they were waking me up, the nurses were making me questions to check my awareness. Incredibly, to every question, I kept answering in English and they were saying “Signora, we don’t understand what you are saying!” “We don’t know English!”

I really couldn’t make the switch in Italian, so I stopped answering too tired to insist.

For that week I was staying in the hospital, I was teased by patients, nurses and doctors, that enjoyed telling jokingly this story like it was a funny anecdote!

Still, I can’t imagine that I could only speak English after the anesthesia… isn’t this weird?!😅
